What Your Students Need to Know
Loyola University 新奥尔良 is the place where students discover their strengths 和 talents 和 obtain an education that challenges them to develop both their head 和 their heart. With its Jesuit roots, a Loyola education will motivate students to be the most they can be 和 to seek the “magis”— Latin for “the more”—in the person they become.
Our 11:1 student-to-professor ratio allows for small, personalized discussion-oriented classes 和 the U.S. 新闻 和 World Report consistently ranks Loyola in the top 10 regional universities in the South 和 among the top 25 universities in the nation for service learning.

At Loyola, each student is treated as an individual with individual needs 和 strengths. In reviewing your application, the Office of 招生 makes a decision based on several factors:
Academic Performance
Loyola seeks students who have challenged themselves academically. While honors, advanced, AP 和 IB courses are highly encouraged; they are not required for admission into the university.
Academic Credit 和 Placement
Information about academic credit received through Advance Placement or examination, academic credit transferred to Loyola from another institution, or student placement in courses through exam scores can be 在这里找到.
St和ardized Tests
There are no minimum test score requirements for admission. 最高的 坐 critical reading 和 坐 math scores from separate exams if you take the test multiple times; however, 行为 scores will not be superscored. Personal Statement
The personal statement is an opportunity for us to get to know the student as an individual, not just a set of test scores 和 grades. We encourage students to use this essay as a way to tell their story 和 how they would fit in the Loyola community.

Loyola offers as many scholarships as there are students. For freshman 和 transfer students, scholarships are based on outst和ing academic achievement 和 significant community involvement. Learn more about a variety of tools for your students to finance their education.
College of Music 和 Media Applicants
The College of Music 和 Media is home to over 20 unique majors 和 degree programs within the arts, 广告, 和 entertainment industries. Admitted Students
When your student is admitted into Loyola, they will need to formally accept Loyola’s offer by paying the enrollment deposit by MAY 1. They will also need to sign up for New Student Orientation, which takes places during the summer before they start at Loyola. 访问 our First Year Students checklist for more information about joining the Wolf Pack.

We invite 和 encourage college, 指导, 和 independent counselors as well as community-based professionals to visit us. We have individual tour reservations available for students that are able to travel to 新奥尔良. For counselors 和 students that are not able to visit in person, check out our 虚拟之旅 选项. We’d love to talk with you, so please reach out to the admissions counselor assigned to your area.
After you’ve visited, encourage your students to visit in person during one of our on-campus tours. It is the perfect way for them to get a feel of the campus, see students at work 和 learn more about Loyola.
